Lessons Learned and Ready to Thrive in 2014!

In 2014, I will continue to enhance the Thriving Cougar brand and be prepared to pursue opportunities of interest that come my way. As I recoup from the holidays and embrace the new year, I look forward to new opportunities to spread the word about the Thriving Cougar lifestyle brand. I’m ready to face and overcome the inevitable challenges that life will bring. I am also laser-focused on achieving my goals and continuing to live the Thriving Cougar Lifestyle…

I am committed to being at my best mentally, physically and spiritually, and I have a passion for sharing information with other mature women to promote the Thriving Cougar lifestyle. The Thriving Cougar lifestyle brand reflects my passion and commitment to encourage mature women to thrive, rather than just survive as we grow older.

Increasingly, mature women are choosing to be healthier, appropriately styled on trend, and relevant in all walks of life. The Thriving Cougar lifestyle encourages mature women to focus on being prepared for whatever or whoever we choose to do in life 😉 In that vein, I stay prepared! I continue to take care of my mind, body and spirit as I live my best life and care for my family, friends and community.

As I reflect on my accomplishments and lessons learned in 2013, I can honestly say it was an extraordinary year for me. In 2013, I retired after nearly 35 years of service – a major life change that I am adjusting to quite well. I also launched the Thriving Cougar beta site, the ThrivingCougarLifestyle Facebook page, @ThrivingCougar on Twitter, and ThrivingCougar on Instagram. Through the website and social media, I have steadily increased communication with a growing audience of mature women who believe in the value of the Thriving Cougar lifestyle. As I continue my life’s journey, I remain passionate about and committed to sharing information through various means to enhance the lives and well being of mature women.

In addition, in 2013, I received positive feedback on my suggested style options for mature women. I am now integrating #CougarStyle to promote “on trend” style options for mature women who want to continue to look their best. This is a natural evolution for me as I have always loved fashion and styling my friends and family. I’m open to the vast opportunities in this arena and will continue to make a positive impact in 2014.

My personal journey includes continuing to focus on my passions and striving for a healthier and fit lifestyle. I now have time to take yoga, Pilates and kick-boxing classes. I can plan and prepare healthy meals, spend quality time with family and friends, and pursue various business opportunities. I’m ready to turn up the Thriving Cougar Lifestyle!

I am enjoying my life and staying grounded in the here and now. This was an important lesson for me in 2013. While I allow time for reflection and planning for the future, I try, as best I can, to stay grounded in the moment. I routinely ask myself, how can I maximize my productivity right now? I find that there’s always something to do…including getting sufficient rest! However, as a natural planner, my challenge is to continue to flex my plan in response to life. I may want to do X, but if I can’t do X, I try not to sulk or waste valuable time. Instead, I reflect on my “To Do” list. I’ve learned to find something else to do in accordance with a divine plan, rather than my own plan for my life.

In 2014, I will continue to develop the Thriving Cougar website and social media communications. I will partner with additional guest bloggers to share useful information on the site, develop new products depicting the Thriving Cougar brand, and implement a comprehensive marketing plan. I’m ready to continue sharing lifestyle improvements with mature women who see my vision and want to thrive through life while sharing useful information and #thrivingtips with each other.

Happy New Year! What are your New Year reflections and resolutions? What are your greatest lessons learned from 2013?
