6 Tips For Younger Looking Eyes
Everyone knows that old saying…”your eyes are the windows to your soul” however, eyes are much more than that, they have a way of telling your age. Most women do not even realize that the area around their eyes is extremely sensitive and, if it is not taking care of, it can age you dramatically. To help your eyes look brighter and younger try these easy tricks to hide dark circles, puffiness and wrinkles.
Banish Dark Circles
After 40, skin loses its elasticity and thins out which can make you look tired and allow blood vessels to show through. A concealer is the perfect product to lighten your dark circles and brighten up your face. Here are three steps to applying concealer correctly.
Step 1. Pick a yellow based formula that’s at least two shades lighter than your skin tone.
Step 2. Use a small concealer brush to apply a dab along the lower lashes to the innermost corner of your eyes and the hollows of your nose.
Step 3. Dust a sheer, loose yellow toned powder this locks the concealer in place for the day.
Fill In Your Eyebrows
When your brows are nicely filled in they will take years off of your face. Here are three steps to get a full youthful arch.
Step 1. Start by gently pulling your skin with one hand to create a smooth surface.
Step 2. With a stiff angled brush dust on a brow powder in the same direction your hair grows using light, feathery strokes.
Step 3. When you’re finished brush the hair up and out with a spoolie, this will blend and soften the powder so it looks more natural and removes any excessive powder.
Camouflage Crow’s Feet
Avoid using heavy makeup around your eyes because it will make fine lines more noticeable. Instead opt to brighten the eye area with concealer under the outer third of your lower lashes and using a creamy highlighter will cover up your crow’s feet.
Caffeinate Your Eyes
Tea bags are a great DIY beauty remedy to perk up tired looking puffy eyes. Caffeine helps to shrink the underlying dark blood vessels and forces out some of the liquid that creates puffiness. Soak tea bags in hot water for a minute before plunging them into ice water for a few seconds. Lie down and apply them directly to your eyes for 15 minutes.
Brighten Up Your Eyes
Apply a white eyeliner pencil to the inner corners of your eyes to instantly brighten the dark areas around your eyes. Focus around your tear ducts and the hollows of your nose.
Apply Finer Eyeliner
Lining your eyes provides an instant lift. A waterproof gel liner ensures that the anti-droopy effect lasts all day. Gel liner is thicker than liquid liner so it’s easier to control.
